President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting on issues of Russian state policy in the sphere of aviation activity on the territory of Volga Federal District.
The event took place in Ulyanovsk at enterprise ZAO “Aviastar-SP”. It was held by Secretary of Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev. Plenipotentiary of RF President in Volga Federal District Grigory Rapota, heads of the regions, representatives of federal executive power bodies, JSC “United aircraft building corporation”, territorial branches of federal executive power bodies and aviation enterprises of the Volga Federal District.
Issues of developing aviation sector, including civil aviation, ensuring aviation security, development of air traffic among Russian regions and modernization of airports have been discussed at the meeting.
According to the Secretary of Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev nowadays there are problems in aviation sector which may endanger national security. In particular, in the Volga Federal District network of interregional aviation traffic is very law, ground services are developed insufficiently.
Nikolay Patrushev pointed out a necessity to strengthen security measures on any kind of transport.
Governor of Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov also made a report at the meeting.
