Rustam Minnikhanov and Vitaly Mutko discuss concept of sport heritage of Universiade 2013

April 8, head of Russian Ministry of sport and tourism Vitaly Mutko met with RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Firstly, Vitaly Mutko congratulated Rustam Minnikhanov on inauguration.

We remind that the inauguration ceremony was held on March, 25, 2010. Minister is sure that Rustam Minnikhanov will successfully work on a new post. Preparation for XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 and the concept of sports heritage of Universiade 2013 were discussed at the meeting. Head of Republic Tatarstan told about construction of objects of this immense sport event. He informed that 10 objects have already been commissioned. Construction of eight objects is planned to be finished in May 2010.

Creation of sport scientific-educational cluster – federal state educational institution “Tatar state academy of physical culture, sports and tourism” was one of the key issues to be discussed. This academy is planned to be founded on the basis of Kama state academy of physical culture, sports and tourism, which is located in Naberezhnye Chelny.

By words of Rustam Minnikhanov if the academy is transferred to Kazan it will allow creating modern innovative educational institution for training specialists in the sphere of physical culture and sport.

According to Head of republic the academy will become basic area for development of five-six kinds of sport in Tatarstan. Russian Ministry of sport and tourism in its turn will coordinate such sports, scientific-educational centres. In the nearest time construction of new building is to be started. Russian ministry of sport and tourism will finance the project. It will have commissioned by 2013 year.
