Plenary session of Republican Committee of veterans (the disabled) of war and military service has taken place today in Kazan. RT Acting prime minister Ravil Muratov, Aide to RT President on social issues Tatyana Larionova, RT acting minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov, acting minister of labor, employment and social protection Airat Shafigullin, chairman of State council committee on social issues Svetlana Zakharova , chiefs of RT departments and heroes of Soviet Unions and participants of Great Patriotic War took part in the event.
Participants discussed many questions such as activity on perpetuating the memory of Fatherland defenders, training the youth for military service, medicinal provision, treatment in hospitals, providing vouchers for treatment at a health resorts. Moreover, the issue of providing housing for the disabled and veterans was debated.
Chairman of Committee of war veterans and military service Akhat Yulashev reported on preparation for 65-anniversary of Victory in GPW, 45 years of RT public organization of war veterans and military service and measures on further improvement of organization’s activity. The organization unites more than 12 000 veterans of GPW and 5 000 veterans of military service. He said that veteran organizations are functioning today in all regions and cities of republic. Unfortunately, the number of veterans reduced for 2346 people.
By words of Akhat Yulashev Republican committee of war and military service and regional organizations has been constantly paying attention to issues of social and legal protection of veterans and improvement of military-patriotic education of the youth.
Acting prime minister of RT Ravil Muratov greeted participants of plenary session of Republican Committee of veterans of war and military service on behalf of RT leadership. He thanked veterans for active participation in solving tasks set before republic and contribution they make into development of Tatarstan, in particular patriotic education of children and youth. Ravil Muratov said that all veterans would have copy of a documentary film “From Kazan to Berlin”.
In conclusion acting prime minister wished to celebrate 65-anniversary of Victory in GPW in a proper way and presented a computer and memorable awards to Republican Committee of veterans (the disabled) of war and military service.
