On February 9, during his working visit to Agryz municipal region Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the VI session of the local Council.
Head of Agryz region Valery Makarov briefed the members of the council on the socio-economic development of the region in 2015, and told about plans for 2016.
"Agriculture is the leading sector of the region. The number of cattle has reached 1 633 heads, the pig stock has increased by 5 per cent and made 7000 heads. Meat production has gone up by 5 per cent and made 2900 tons. The dairy complex has a task to bring the number of cows to 2600. The number of family farms in increasing as well. In recent years, 22 family farms granted 26 million roubles," he reported.
In his turn Khalikov expressed gratitude to the rural workers. According to him, the active work is underway in the construction industry as well.
The Prime Minister also appreciated the establishment of the industrial site at the Agryz meat factory, which produces more than 500 tons of meat and semi-finished products monthly.
"This kind of business should be recognized on a regional scale,” Khalikov said.
Summing up, Khalikov presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the best workers of Agryz region.
