Ildar Khalikov: Menzelinsk region is successfully implementing programmes aimed at the social development

On February 10, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov began his working visit to Menzelinsk region by attending the Mebelev furniture factory, where he looked around its production facilities and got acquainted with its produce.

Head of the Mebelev factory Damir Kayumov briefed on the activities of the enterprise, which employs 35 people. Its trade turnover reached 70 million rubles per year within a short period of time.

Khalikov wished the factory staff large-scale international expansion. The company is already exporting its products to Belarus and Kazakhstan.

Then Tatarstan Prime Minister visited the Izyskatel trade and production factory, where he got acquainted with its new production line, which is expected to be launched at the beginning of the summer season. Now the company produces 58 items of goods. Khalikov tasted Menzelinsk drinking water and appreciated its quality.

The Izyskatel makes products under the retail chain brand names and employs 140 people and 180 people during in the season.

According to Alexander Levanov, Director of the company, after launching a new production line, the production output will reach 12 thousand bottles of drinking water per hour.

During his visit to the region, Khalikov also took part in a solemn settling of a new 27-apartment house, which was built under the targeted programme of relocation of citizens from dilapidated houses and social mortgage.

Then Khalikov took part in a meeting of the Council of Menzelinsk municipal region "On the results of social and economic development of Menzelinsk municipal region for 2015 and tasks for 2016".

Head of Menzelinsk Municipal region Aidar Salakhov summed up the results of social and economic development of the region for 2015 and outlined the tasks for the coming year.

Salakhov thanked the regional leadership for their support.

Speaking at the meeting Khalikov said that the regional leadership “is optimistic about further development of Menzelinsk region."

Khalikov noted that the region is successfully implementing programmes aimed at the social development. He also reminded that federal and regional programmes are currently under implementation in Tatarstan, and this year they all will be continued.

Tatarstan Prime Minister handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to six Menzelinsk citizens for their labor achievements and contribution to the social and economic development of the region.
