Tatarstan President calls Rybno-Slobodsky region for increasing demography and decreasing infant mortality

On February 18, at a session of the Council of the Rybno-Slobodsky region on results of social and economic development in 2015 and tasks for 2016, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the region was ranked 44th in the rating of municipal regions.

Making the keynote report at the session, Head of the region Ilkham Valeev said that the gross agricultural output made 1.997 bln rubles last year. For the last three years the region has reached high rates in agricultural production economics.

Ilkham Valeev set the task to increase the cattle population, milk and meat production by 2020.

Speaking at the session, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the main regional programmes had been implemented, and the Rybno-Slobodsky region implements 20 of 30 programmes. He thanked for good organization of the elections of Tatarstan President and deputies of representatives of municipalities. According to the president, the region realizes a lot of interesting agro-industrial projects.

Rustam Minnikhanov asked to pay special attention to high rate of infant mortality and mortality from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, problems of corruption, income declaration, and municipal property.
