Rustam Minnikhanov: "We continue developing relations with Kuwait"

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov announced at the meeting with Deputy minister of waqfs and Islamic affairs of State Kuwait Adel Abdallah Al-Falah that Tatarstan would continue developing cultural ties with Kuwait and would do its utmost to settle business relationships.

RT Deputy prime minister – minister of culture Zilya Valeeva, Director of department of external relations – Aide to RT President on international issues Timur Akulov and Chairman of spiritual department of RT Muslims mufti Gusman Khazrat Iskhakov also attended the meeting.

Rustam Minnikhanov met with distinguished guests at Kazan racetrack where Sabantui celebrations took place. Head of Tatarstan welcomed Dr Al-Falah and emphasized importance of his visit to republic. He also thanked Mr Al-Falah for work carried out by him in the course of visits to republic.

Dr Al-Falah in his turn thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the meeting and warm reception in Tatarstan. “I was very satisfied with visiting Tatarstan. I have visited many countries but I have not seen such sparkling  faces somewhere else”, - he said. “Every time I visit Tatarstan I find something new, because the republic is developing and the Government takes it very seriously”, - Dr Al-Falah empathized.

By his words relations between Tatarstan and Kuwait are constantly developing. Dr Al-Falah invited Rustam Minnikhanov to visit this Arabic country on behalf of State Kuwait.

Deputy minister of Kuwait noted efficient cooperation with Spiritual department of RT Muslims which had been lasting for 20 years. Dr Al-Falah considers Gusman Khazrat Iskhakov to be the most respected mufti in Russian Federation. He also said about good relations with RT Ministry of culture and personally with Zilya Valeeva.

By words of distinguished guest Tatarstan plays an important role in work of group “Russia-Islamic world” since it is the example of peoples’ unity, peaceful coexistence between many religions.
