Tatarstan Prime Minister: I hope that Chistopol region will continue developing in 2016

On February 26, at a session of local Council of the Chistopol region on summarizing results of social and economic development in 2015 and tasks for 2016, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that he hopes that the region would continue developing in 2016.

Ildar Khalikov looked around the exhibition of local agricultural producers.

Head of the region Dmitry Ivanov reported that the region was ranked 24th in the rating of social and economic development of municipal regions of the republic. Big and medium-size enterprises shipped goods, works and services for the sum of 12 bln rubles. The share of industry in regional economy makes 52 per cent. Investments which made 3,5 bln rubles are the basis of economic growth in the region.  

Local authorities lay high hopes on the industrial park “Chistopol”. Its first resident, Delrus Chistopol, which produces medical products, started working in 2013 and was certified in December 2015. However, unemployment is one of the acute problems in the region. The average salary made 23,700 rubles at big and medium-size enterprises, and 18,400 rubles – at small enterprises.

The agricultural output has increased by 10 per cent and made 2 bln and 124 mln rubles. The tourist flow has also increased, 38,000 people visited the region in 2015. The total income of tourist companies made 36.5 mln rubles.

Ildar Khalikov noted that Chistopol was the second important city after Kazan for many years, and that the city has significantly changed.

The Prime Minister noted god results in the organization of family farms. There are 37 family farms working in the region.

Summing up, Ildar Khalikov wished dwellers of the Chistopol region success and handed over state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan.
