Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on working visit in Japan

On February 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on working visit in Japan to take part in a business mission “Trade-industrial dialogue: Russia-Japan” that will be held on February 29. The Russian delegation is headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Denis Manturov have visited Mitsubishi Heavy Industries that opened in 1995. It recycles up to 400 tons of solid waste per day.

There are other 20 recycling centers in Japan. According to the Head of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the company recycles solid waste in 23 regions of Tokyo. Each enterprise recycles about 100,000 tons of waste a year.

Denis Manturov noted that Russia is actively working on the organization of such complexes and needs to master new technologies and set up primary separation of waste. He noted that about 60 mln tons of solid waste is prepared in Russia every year.

During the excursion the guests were told about the work of waste treatment enterprise. Rustam Minnikhanov asked about using heat and steam that are generated when burning of waste, and measures of protection from the leakage of hazardous emissions.

Tatarstan President has also visited some historical and cultural places in Japan and the exhibition of new and cue cars in the center of Japan.
