Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov receives Kuwait and Saudi Arabian ambassadors and Bahrain chargé d'affaires ad interim at the Kazan Kremlin

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and chargé d'affaires ad interim of Bahrain at the Kazan Kremlin on June 28.

The visit of Kuwait and Saudi Arabian ambassadors and Bahrain chargé d'affaires ad interim is dated to the opening of the 2nd International Islamic Business and Finance Summit. They took part in the Summit at the invitation of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Tatarstan President welcomed the ambassadors to the Tatarstan land and thanked for supporting the initiative of closer relationship with the Islamic world.

Rustam Minnikhanov said cooperation with the Islamic world has very good prospects; and the Russian leadership is aware of it. All contacts of the republic with the countries of the Islamic world receive endorsement at the federal level, the Tatarstan President added.

One of the first steps in this direction is the establishment of the Tatarstan International Investment Company (TIIC). This is just the beginning of the work we are going to carry out, Rustam Minnikhanov remarked.

He went on to say today it is necessary to raise the relationship with the Islamic world to a qualitatively new level, including trade and economic and cultural relations as well as relations in tourism and other issues.
