5098 cars sold in Tatarstan under utilization program

By the end of year it is planned to issue 5 000 utilization certificates within the limits of realizing the second stage of program on utilizing old cars in Tatarstan. It was said by RT Deputy Minister of industry and trade Gulnara Akhmadeeva.

Results of the first stage of program on utilizing old cars were summarized today in RT Cabinet. Gulnara Akhmadeeva reminded that the program of exchanging an old car for getting a discount of 50 000 roubles when buying a new home-made car in Russia started on March, 8 and had to be finished on November,1. But by June, 20 Russian dealers handed 200 000 certificates on utilization to car owners.

“From March,8 till June, 24 dealer centres handed 7579 utilization certificates, 5098 cars were sold, 87 % “Lada” cars. Out of 40 official dealers which are in the list of Russian Ministry of industry and trade 28 centres directly participated in the program. Such official dealers as «Chevrolet», «Kia», «Toyota», «Nissan» did not sell cars due to absence of cars or absence of demand owing to high prices”, - Gulnara Akhmadeeva informed.


Gulnara Akhmadeeva also said that the following problems were solved in the course of program realization by RT Ministry of industry and trade and republican government: expansion of dealer network of “Avtovaz” in republic, additional procurement of “Lada” cars, increase of volumes of delivering tyres produced by JSC “Nizhnekamskshina” to “Avtovaz”, issue of passes for automobile transporters for the period of roads closing in spring. Besides, for the purpose of stimulating sales of cars produced in Tatarstan by JSC “Sollers”, RT government adopted the Edict which implied discounting for cars realized by the program.

By words of Gulnara Akhmadeeva within the limits of realizing the second stage of program it is planned to issue 5 000 certificates. Deputy minister also noted that the key task is not just issuing the certificated but increasing the number of deliveries of home-made cars.
