Security is one of the most important issues while holding large international competitions. This has been said today by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at the 9th session of working group on security Council under President of Russian Federation on development of physical culture, sports and sports of high achievements, preparation and holding XXII Olympic winter games and XI Para-Olympic winter games 2014 in Sochi, XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.
The session was held in conference hall of hotel “Riviera” (Kazan) by head of Russian federal security service, head of working group on security issues, head of operative staff Sochi-2014, Kazan-2013 Oleg Syromolotov.
Issues of safeguarding while preparation and holding Universiade 2013 have been discussed at the session. Areas of responsibility of attracted ministries and departments of Russia and Tatarstan have been defined.
Welcoming members of working group Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that a number of Universiade objects had been already commissioned. All of them are functioning. By the end of 2010 nine more objects are to be commissioned.
By words of Rustam Minnikhanov only one object is planned to be finished by 2012– a football stadium for 45 000 places
Much work is being done on constructing transport infrastructure for Universiade 2013, Rustam Minnikhanov said.
President of Tatarstan addressed members of working group with request to discuss issues of safeguarding while preparation and holding Universiade 2013 at the next session of Universiade organization committee under leadership of First vice-premier of Russian government Igor Shuvalov.
