Rustam Minnikhanov meets representative of the Royal Family of Bahrain

On April 3, during his official visit to Bahrain, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met a representative of Royal Family of Bahrain, sheikh Hamad ben Ibrahim Al Khalifa.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan puts much emphasis on the development of cooperation with Bahrain in terms of strengthening of relationships between Russia and Bahrain.

“Russia is actively interacting with Islamic world and Tatarstan makes its contribution to strengthening of relationships with Muslim countries,” he said.

Minnikhanov noted that by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin he heads the Strategic vision group “Russia-Islamic world”. Also, he presented detailed information about the republic and its leading positions in oil production and processing of hydrocarbons, its investment and innovative development, achievements in engineering, petrochemical and other spheres.

The member of the Royal Family gave a high appraisal of the international economic summit Kazansummit and promised to send a big delegation from Bahrain to Tatarstan this year.

The meeting discussed development of partner relations in the sphere of agriculture, heavy and light industry, culture, education and science, and tourism.
