Tatarstan President visits famous “House of Quran” in Bahrain

On April 3, during his official visit to Bahrain, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited a famous museum “House of Quran”.

Established in 1990, the House of Quran is one of the most famous Islamic museums in the world. It houses rare manuscripts of Quran from Iran, China, India, Turkey, Egypt and North Africa, scientific literature and translations of Quran.

Director and founder of the museum Dr Abdul-Latif Kanoo showed Tatarstan President around the museum and told about its history and most valuable items.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Abdul-Latif Kanoo for the excursion and told about a large-scale project, the construction of Bolgar Islamic Academy. He offered Abdul-Latif Kanoo to take part in the creation of this educational center.

Later on the same day, Rustam Minnikhanov visited Al-Fatih Mosque.
