Tatarstan expects that the commodity turnover with Belarus will go up. The issue was in the focus at the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky in Minsk on August 12.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sergei Sidorsky expressed his condolences over deaths caused by fires in Russia.
The Belarus Prime Minister recalled that during his visit to Tatarstan in May this year the parties reached an agreement to increase the turnover that had fallen in 2009 following the global crisis.
Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked for the warm meeting and remarked that today the cooperation between Tatarstan and Belarus has very good prospects in many spheres. Tatarstan is interested in purchasing Belarus agricultural output and industrial goods.
