Tatarstan President meets Slovenia Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdvako Pocivalsek

On April 20, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President had a meeting with Slovenian delegation led by Slovenia Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Pocivalsek.

“We are interested in Slovenian companies choose Tatarstan to enter the Russian market,” Minnikhanov said.

He pointed out that Tatarstan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Slovenia within the framework of Russia-Slovenia relations. “We are ready to facilitate the development of mutually beneficial business ties at the regional level,” he added.

According to Minnikhanov, Tatarstan and Slovenia have great possibilities for cooperation, first of all, in the economic field, but they are not used to the full.

He went on to say the most promising areas for cooperation include machine building, automotive industry, auto component manufacturing, promoting products made by the Tatarstan petrochemical complex on Slovenian market,  IT and agricultural industry.

Minnikhanov briefed about social and economic climate in the republic, pointing out the most important sectors for the regional economy.  

Thanking for the reception, Pocivalsek noted that Tatarstan is one the fastest growing Russian regions. “Our country is interested in expanding cooperation with your republic,” he said and invited Tatarstan businessmen to Slovenia and presented a number of prospective areas for joint projects.
