The construction of the first start-up facility of the Nizhnekamsk’s oil refining and petrochemical plant complex is in its final stage. The completeness is 96 percent. of the planned 3.545 million roubles, 3.388 million has been disbursed. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today inspected the construction.
The head of Tatarstan has during the working trip visited 6 key facilities of the 1A1 phase. His primary interest was the CDU/VDU unit, the heart of Taneco, where oil fractionation will begin in October. The CDU/VDU-7 technology system is capable of providing raw material for all other units within the complex when advanced oil processing is possible.
Tatarstan President and the accompanying persons visited the gas distribution station and inspected the course of constructing external gas supply networks. The guests examined the visbreaking unit, designed to produce oil fuel from tar vacuum residue delivered from CDU/VDU-7 through thermal cracking.
Rustam Minnikhanov paid special attention to the complex’s external railway facilities. The total length of the Taneco railway is over 25 kilometres, they are now undergoing commissioning and beautification. The last site visited by Tatarstan President was the oil acceptance and delivery station. It includes 23 subsites designed to accept 7 million tonnes of oil products. The construction is nearly completed.
Having toured the facilities, Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting attended by the energy minister Ilshat Fardiev, construction, architecture and housing minister Marat Khusnullin, Tatneft general director Shafgat Takhautdinov and Nizhnekamsk municipal district’s head Aidar Metshin.
The Taneco general director Khamza Bagmanov delivered a report on the “construction of the century”, saying it was one of the vital industrial facilities built in Russia. Specialists from across Tatarstan and neighbouring regions have been engaged in the construction, to deliver it as scheduled.
