President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov: Venezuela and Tatarstan may exchange experience in the sphere of oil production

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Russian Federation Hugo José García Hernández.

The meeting was held in House of RT Government.

It is the first visit of Hugo José García Hernández to the Republic of Tatarstan. Yesterday he was in Transkama zone of republic with his party, visited JSC “KAMAZ”, Kama industrial park “Master” and other enterprises.

While greeting guests, RT President Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Venezuela and Tatarstan are oil-producing republics and it is possible to exchange experience in this sphere. Rustam Minnikhanov also reminded that a few days before one of the oldest oil-producing companies in the country JSC “Tatneft” had celebrated 60-anniversary. Today educational programs are being realized in the company, production of equipment has been arranged, it has good scientific, material and technical basis.

As regards aircraft and machine building, Venezuela is concerned with JSC “Kazan helicopter plant”, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded. For the last few years republic has purchased more than 40 helicopters, 200 specialists from Venezuela has undergone training in Tatarstan.

RT Preisdent thinks that leadership of Venezuela may be interested in Tatarstan enterprises producing gas-turbine equipment, submerged pumps, enterprises of energy sector that may take part in construction of energy objects on the territory of Venezuela.

Tatarstan President also noted that republics may cooperate in the sphere of education.

Rustam Minnikhanov suggested Hugo José García Hernández to consider possibility of organizing the visit of President of Venezuela Hugo Chávez to the Republic of Tatarstan within the frameworks of his official visit to Russian Federation.

Hugo José García Hernández, in his turn, said he was impressed by what he had seen in Kazan and Tatarstan. He told about his visit to Kul Sharif mosque in Kazan Kremlin and Annunciation Cathedral. He was impressed by tolerance which is observed in republic.

Hugo José García Hernández also said that contacts established with leadership of JSC “KAMAZ” and JSC “Kazan helicopter plant” are rather important for Venezuela.

President of Tatarstan gave important tasks on organizing further work on establishing contacts and interaction with officials of Venezuela.
