President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in work of extended board session of Federal tax service

Extended board session of Federal tax service dedicated to results of work of the organization for the first six months of 2010 has been held today in Kazan. The session was conducted by head of Federal tax service Mikhail Mishustin.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mikhail Mishustin for choosing Kazan for holding the extended session of Federal tax service.

Head of Tatarstan briefly told participants of the event about current state and perspectives of development of republican economy. He stressed that within the period of 2000 - 2008 yeas Tatarstan demonstrated stable high rates of growth. Average annual growth of Gross regional product has made 7,5 %, index of industrial production – 6 %. Real cash income has increased by 14,4 % per year.

Wit support of federal government Tatarstan managed to decrease negative circumstance of financial crisis and in 2010 state of economy in republic improved. Growth of Gross regional product now makes 6,2 %, index of industrial production – 8 %.

For the first six months of 2010 more than 100 bln. roubles of tax incomings were collected in republic. Rustam Minnikhanov defined areas for working on increase of tax incomings. By his words, one of them is increase of property tax base. Another one is more intense use of information technologies. Thereupon Rustam Minnikhanov reminded about a pilot project to be launched in republic – “Monitoring and accounting of taxation for immovable property on the basis of geo-information technologies”.

Rustam Minnikhanov supposes that taxation of profits of enterprises is an issue that requires careful consideration.

Finishing his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked federal tax service for supporting republic and initiatives of its leadership.

Rustam Minnikhanov handed Letter of gratitude of Tatarstan President to Mikhail Mishustin. Head of Federal tax service, in his turn, awarded RT President with certificate of honour.
