President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov: as oil-producing region, we have to be engaged with development small oil companies

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with officials of the Highest mountain council of non-commercial partnership “Miners of Russia” and Council of All-Russia public organization “Union of oil-gas industrialists of Russia”.

The meeting was held in House of RT government.

The Republic of Tatarstan was presented by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Vice-premier – minister of energy Ilshat Fardiev, Minister of ecology and nature resources Aglyam Sadretdinov, Counsellor to RT President Renat Muslimov and others.

Visit of delegation is connected with holding joint traveling session on issues of increasing the role of small and medium enterprises in long-term development of mineral-raw complex of Russia by the example of oil-gas complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the course of meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov members of delegation discussed issues of participation of small and medium business in oil-production and field development and increase of oil-production volumes throughout Russia.

Rustam Minnikhanov informed that Tatarstan pays much attention to development and support of small oil companies. He thinks governmental support of small oil companies may facilitate increase of oil-production volumes in Russia.

RT President thanked members of delegation for attention shown towards Tatarstan as an oil-production region.

Chairman of council of non-commercial partnership “Miners of Russia” and “Union of oil-gas industrialists of Russia” Yury Shafranik announced that he highly assesses attitude of Tatarstan leadership towards oil-production complex and consistency of actions.

Besides, he emphasized importance of partnership relations of such big companies as JSC “Tatneft” with small oil companies.

According to Yury Shafranik, one should take into consideration that with participation of small and medium business in long-term development of mineral-raw complex new work places are created, conditions for formation of middle class appear and support of social infrastructure is implemented.

President of Tatarstan wished members of the Highest mountain council of non-commercial partnership “Miners of Russia” and Council of All-Russia public organization “Union of oil-gas industrialists of Russia” productive work at the joint session and successful conducting of XVII International exhibition «Oil, gas, petrochemistry», V specialized exhibition “Ecotechnologies and equipment of XXI century” and International scientific conference “Innovations and technologies in prospecting, recovery and processing oil and gas” (Exhibition center “Kazan fair”).
