Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in business lunch at the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society

On May 12, speaking at business lunch at the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society during his working trip to Vienna, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that despite the current political and economic situation and sanctions, Tatarstan and Austria succeeded in maintaining good relations and established business contacts, as well as continued looking for new ways to enhance cooperation.

Members of the Tatarstan delegation, representatives of business circles of Austria, General Secretary of the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society Florian Sterman, President of the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society, Vice President of Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz and other officials took part in the event.

Welcoming participants of the business lunch, Florian Sterman noted that close cooperation between Tatarstan and Austria led to joint projects and close contacts. “Our goal is to promote strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Austria based on friendship and mutual understanding,” he said.

In his turn Minnikhanov thanked for their attention paid to the republic and its economy, expressed his confidence that during his visit to Vienna issues related to promoting new projects will be discussed and new business contacts will be established.  He said that a delegation of Austrian business is expected to arrive in Kazan in the near future.
