Rustam Minnikhanov: The volume of illegal alcohol seized has increased by 70 per cent in Tatarstan

On May 16, at Tatarstan Government House, speaking at a meeting of the Council on Monitoring the illegal turnover of alcohol and alcohol-containing products in Tatarstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the volume of illegal alcohol seized has increased by 70 per cent in the first quarter of this year compared with the same period last year.  

Minnikhanov noted that the situation at the alcohol market is monitored every week in the republic. In all rural underpopulated settlements without a stationary retail chain, the field trade to sell products of regional producers is provided. Also, the Alcohol Control project of the Public Control state information system is being implemented and the work to reduce the alcohol abuse has been intesified.
