Aeroflot launches direct flights from Kazan to Frankfurt from June 17

On May 18, at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov held a meeting on cooperation with Aeroflot.

Mass media agencies informed before that Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed Aeroflot management with request to open direct flights from Kazan to one of Europe’s biggest airports in Frankfurt. For a short time the company has made a decision and launches direct flights on June 17.

As Ildar Khalikov said this event is important for regional transport industry and economic development, for businessmen, oil industry workers, and representatives of engineering and aviation industries.

Telling about a new direct flight Kazan-Frankfurt, Aeroflot Chief Executive Officer for Finance, Network & Revenue Management Shamil Kurmashov said that it is a unique case when an international direct flight is launched in a Russian region.

The economy-class tickets will cost 25, 000 rubles, business-class tickets – 60-70 thousand rubles. Train tickets are included in the price for business-class tickets.
