Tatarstan President meets with Intel corporation Vice-President

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Inter corporation Vice-President John Davies at RT Cabinet of Ministers on September 22.
“We are glad to welcome you in our republic. The recent events that happened in Tatarstan are connected with informatization, innovations, IT-technologies. We use a lot of innovations available in Russia and abroad,” Rustam Minnikhanov said at the meeting.
From Tatarstan President’s point of view, IT-technologies should be implemented in the education system in the first place. As the head of the republic informed, serious measures are realized within the project “Electronic School” in Tatarstan; outdated computers are being modernized. 12,800 Intel-based laptops have been allocated to teachers.
IT-projects realized in Tatarstan were presented at the international investment “Sochi-2010”. The following were exhibited: “Electronic Education”, the electronic state services system, coordination of rescue operations “GLONASS +112. RF Government Chairman Vladimir Putin and heads of some Russian regions got acquainted with the stand.
“It is a pleasure to visit Tatarstan,” John Davies said at the beginning of his speech. According to his words, Intel presents many products and solutions for the population and business, participates in scientific projects and offers good opportunities for studying.
An agreement on mutual cooperation was signed as part of the meeting between Tatarstan Government and Intel corporation. RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Vice-President of Intel corporation John Davies signed the document.
The Republic of Tatarstan Government and Intel corporation have been successfully cooperating in the education field for the recent five years. Over 10,500 teachers passed re-training courses on the program “Teaching For the Future”.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
