Memorandum of Understanding between Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University and Fraunhofer Institute signed in the presence of Rustam Minnikhanov

On June 2, during his working trip to Dresden (Germany) Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Fraunhofer Institute for Materials and Laser Technology (Fraunhofer IWS).

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University (KNITU-KAI) and the Fraunhofer Institute (Fraunhofer IWS) was singed within the framework of the visit.

These universities will join efforts to establish professional and friendly relations with each other as well as between Germany and Tatarstan. In particular, the parties intend to expand cooperation between the universities in the field of laser technology.

As it is stated in the signed document for the joint implementation of plans, as well as the development and expansion of international cooperation the Fraunhofer Society and the KNITU-KAI have agreed to promote cooperation between the parties in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding.

The document was signed by the rector of Kazan Albert Gilmutdinov and representative of Fraunhofer IWS In the presence of Minnikhanov.

Then, a tour of the Fraunhofer Institute, during which the guests were shown some labs, including a laser center and other facilities, was made.
