Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov: Education is an issue number one for our republic

“Education is an issue number one for our republic,” Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov declared at the event marking the International Teachers’ Day.
The event that brought together the best teachers from all over the republic was held at the Pyramid Convention Complex.
On behalf of the republic’s leadership Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all those present as well as all the educators of the republic on Teachers’ Day.
The President reminded that over last 2-3 years it closely studied the world experience in education and the development of the modern school. As part of that research the Strategy of the educational development in Tatarstan was created and is already being implemented.
We realised that the main component in the educational process is the teacher, Rustam Minnikhanov said. It is the teacher who is the main driving force and we have to give them necessary tools to work while also ensuring their social well-being for them to work with confidence and competence, the Tatarstan President said.
“Today, we face big tasks, one of them being the creation of a new, modern school. There is no doubt that we’ll cope with it. I would like to express gratitude for your heavy work for it’s never easy to teach people,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
