Republic of Tatrstan is interested in the development of relations with the Slovak Republic. There are all conditions for this process taking into account the high level of Russian-Slovakian relations, languages and the current commercial and economic contacts. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated it at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Joseph Migash on Wednesday.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, RT First Vice-Premier Ravil Muratov, Director of the International Relations Department – RT Presidents Aide for International Issues Timur Akulov, RT President’s Aide Iskander Muflikhanov, RT Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Bulat Fakhrutdinov took part in the meeting.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov’s words, the republic is interested not only in raw materials supply, but also in other industries. For instance, petrochemistry, energy production, increase of the tourists flow from Slovakia to Tatarstan and the other way round.
Head of Tatarstan suggested paying attention to the development of some Slovakian businessmen’s projects on the territory of the special economic zone “Alabuga”. According to his words, free customs regime, tax advantages will open opportunities for entrepreneurs to optimize expenses.
Besides, Tatarstan and Slovakia have an opportunity to considerably consolidate relations in education and culture, Rustam Minnikhanov believes. He offered the guests to take part in realization of joint projects at venues of business-incubators, technoparks and development of nano- and IT-projects.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Joseph Migash pointed out Rustam Minnikhanov’s personal contribution to supporting and developing relations with many countries. He noted that the presence of three ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary (of the Tunisian Republic, the Netherlands, and the Slovak republic) on Tuesday demonstrates the states’ considerable interest to Tatarstan as one of the Russian Federation subjects.
Slovakia in the first place is interested in the energy industry (energy production and distribution), Joseph Migash informed. He also proposed considering the opportunity of Slovakian companies in the process of Tatarstan energy facilities modernization. Besides, organization of joint mutually beneficial projects in the automobile industry (production of special equipment with Kamaz company) is possible, he added.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Joseph Migash invited Rustam Minnikhanov to visit Slovakia, meet with the Slovak Republic authorities, ministers and businessmen.
President of Tatasrtan Rustam Minnikhanov has ordered according to the outcomes of today’s meeting to set up working groups on number of directions (energy, machine building ).
The parties marked also that mutually beneficial should cooperation in the fields of construction, tourism, and importing food products to Tatarstan.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
