Tatarstan requests credit from EBRD for reconstruction of purification works

Cooperation prospects between European Bank of reconstruction and development and Tatarstan on number of projects proposed by the republic have discussed today Head of RT Government I.Sh. Khalikov and EBRD managing director on Russia Natlia Khajenkova.
At the meeting took part vice deputy Premier – RT minister of energy Ilshat Fardiev, chiefs of ministries, departments and RT municipalities, head of EBRD rep-office in the Volga federal district Mikhael Hoffman and other officials.
EBRD delegation has arrived in Kazan to take part III international investment forum Euro-money starting tomorrow in Kazan.
Ildar Khalikov thanked EBRD representatives for the attention they render to implementing projects in territory of Tatarstan. Premier reminded that in June current year Rostekhnologi, Daimler AG, EBRD have increased their shares in equity capital of JSC KAMAZ. According to the conditions of the deal, EBRD in cooperation Daimler AG has acquired 4 percent of KAMAZ shares, having increased joint partner’s stake - EBRD and Daimler AG - to 15 percent.
Natalia Khanjenkova named this deal a symbolic project. «This was very important sign for improving investment climate in Tatarstan - she mentioned. – Increasing our share in KAMAZ equity capital is a deal we are proud of».
By words of Ildar Khalikov, the projects in municipal sector are an important angle of cooperation between EBRD and Tatarstan. During a meeting the parties, in particular, discussed a possibility of attracting EBRD financial in development of investment project JSC Almetievsk -Vodokanal on reconstruction of purification works in Almetievsk. As head of Almetievsk municipal region Rishat Abubakirov informed the cost of the project is estimated in amount of 1,4 bln. roubles.
«We would like to get EBRD credit on this project, -he mentioned. – EBRD – socially oriented bank granting good terms and «long money».
The prospects on implementing joint projects in the field of energy efficiency, housing-communal services, continuation of cooperation with vodokanal were considered likewise».
Natalia Khanjenkova stressed that while realization of EBRD projects, obtaining financial guarantees from the republic is an important factor.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
