Artem Zdunov: Tatarstan economy shows moderate growth

On June 21, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Economy of the republic Artem Zdunov said that Tatarstan economy has shown a moderate growth.

"Last year, we maintained our position on investments and expected the growth in the future. This year, the situation is more positive, with a moderate growth. Gross regional product in January-April this year decreased by 102 percent, the index of industrial production by 102.3 percent as compared with the same period last year. The volume of investments in fixed capital in January-March 2016 went up by 103.1 per cent as compared with the same period last year. I cannot say that these figures are encouraging. The growth is slight, compared with the years 2010-2013," he said.

However, he pointed out, the republic actively participates in all federal programmes. "This allows minimizing the financial burden on companies, bringing certain results," Zdunov concluded.
