President of Tatarstan congratulated employees of statistics service on professional holiday – World day of statistics. By the decision of General Assembly of United Nations organization, the holiday is now celebrated on October, 20, 2010.
“I sincerely welcome and congratulate all employees of statistics bodies of our republic on important holiday – World day of statistics, that is celebrated by the decision of General Assembly of United Nations organization on October, 20, 2010. This means recognition of special significance and merits of statistics service in development of global economy, tribute of respect to professionalism and dedication of employees to their work.
Indeed, we cannot imagine neither qualitative monitoring of social and economic development of countries and regions nor making thought-out and perspective plans of development without well-organized, well-equipped statistics service.
Today I would like to say only kind words about good traditions of Tatarstan statistics. Its activity has always been characterized by efficiency, responsibility, creative approach towards realized tasks.
This year employees of statistics service celebrate their professional holiday at the height of complicated and great work on organizing and conducting All-Russian population census. Not only specialist but also thousands of volunteers are involved into the process. By results of this work we will know better how tatarstaners live, what is their social state, how they define their ethnical and language status. We need all these factors to make more adequate economic and socio-cultural decisions.
I am sure that population census in Tatarstan will be conducted on a high level and I wish success and good lick to all organizers and participants.

New responsible period of social development is expected to be in our country soon. Being one of the most developing regions in Russia, Tatarstan is involved into these plans. It strives for being an example of innovative and initiative region.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
