Rustam Minnikhanov visits Alabuga International School

On July 5, during his working visit to Yelabuga region (Tatarstan) to mark the 10th anniversary since Alabuga Special Economic Zone foundation, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Alabuga International School.

Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobianin, Chief of Russian Federal Tax Service Mikhail Mishustin, and others were among distinguished guests.

The Alabuga International School is located in a cottage estate and teaches young Yelabuga residents, as well as children of foreign specialists employed by SEZ “Alabuga”.

The guests were shown the school and briefed on principles of its establishment. The school teaches 88 pupils aged 3 to 9 in six age groups. The learning process is based on an interdisciplinary approach.

The International Baccalaureate educational curriculum that is the globally acknowledged education standard and best practice for university is being implemented.

Rustam Minnikhanov and other distinguished visitors were shown classrooms, a canteen, a library, a gym and other rooms. The daily routine includes the main curriculum and extra-curricular activities beginning after 3 pm.

During the tour Sobianin pointed up the need to improve and fill public areas, which is important for children’s convenience.
