Tatarstan President: Today, as well as 80 years ago protection of life and health of people is a priority task for employees of State Road Safety Inspectorate

On July 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov attended a solemn event dedicated to 80th anniversary of Russian State Road Safety Inspectorate at Korston hotel in Kazan.

Chief state road safety inspector of the republic Rifkat Minnikhanov thanked his colleagues for work and devotion to their duty. He noted that the most important tasks are ensuring safety and decreasing accident rate.

Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is a region with well-developed economy and transport system, and the traffic volume increases every year. At the same time, construction and reconstruction of roads is underway, the organization of road traffic is changing, Rustam Minnikhanov added. He mentioned that the Government commission for traffic safety is successfully working, and the programme on increasing traffic safety is being implemented.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked veterans of State Road Safety Inspectorate, for whom “the sense of duty, honour and justice are not just words, but their profession.”
