RT President Rustam Minnikhanov expresses condolences to the family of Viktor Stepanovich Chernomyrdin in connection with his death.
“Dear Vitaly Viktorovich and Andrey Viktorovich! Please, receive sincere condolences from me personally and all citizens of Tatarstan in connection with death of Viktor Stepanovich Chernomyrdin.
Not only his family and relatives but the whole Russian public has suffered a hard, irreplaceable loss. An outstanding person and statesman of modern times who made an inestimable contribution into economic and public-political development of the Russian Federation, has passed away.
Viktor Stepanovich Chernomyrdin, who has always lived for the sake of Russia, implemented a special mission in its history – in the period of state changes he took a heavy burden for realization of large-scale economic reforms. I am sure that great respect and deep gratitude of Russian people who always considered him to be “a man of action”, will become the best memory about this talented and many-sided person.
We are proud for being contemporaries of Viktor Stepanovich Chernomyrdin – a good friend of Tatarstan. We will keep him in our memories forever in our hearts”.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
