On July 18, at the Innopolis University, Tatarstan Preisdent Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich held a meeting on implementation of infrastructure projects to support science and innovations within a concept of the InnoKam autonomous innovation and production centre.
Rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov made a keynote report at the meeting. He, in particular, noted that the InnoKam scientific and educational component is concentrated in three major cities - Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Yelabuga.
According to Gafurov, the main task is to form an integrated university campus. In addition to the Kazan Federal University, a number of other universities made their proposals to develop their branches in the Kama region.
The speaker outlined three priority tasks to implement the project effectively. They include establishing an integrated technopark, building hostels and increasing the number of applications.
Rector of Tupolev Kazan National Research Technical University Albert Gilmutdinov, Rector of Kazan State Technological University German Dyakonov and Director General of Tatneftekhiminvest Holding Rafinat Yarullin also made reported at the meeting.
