President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Volga territorial department of Russian border Sergey Korneev discuss issues of reconstruction of air points in airports “Kazan” and “Begishevo”

Issues of reconstructing air passes through state border of the Russian Federation in international airports “Kazan” and “Begishevo” were discussed at the meeting between RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Volga territorial department of Russian border Sergey Korneev.

The meeting was held in residence of Tatarstan President in Kazan Kremlin.

Secretary of RT Security Council Valery Vlasov, Minister of transport and road construction lenar Safin took part in discussion.

Works on reconstruction of air passes in airports “Kazan” and “Begishevo” (Nizhnekamsk) were started in connection with holding XXVII World summer Universiade in 2013 and increase of passenger and cargo traffic via airports.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Sergey Korneev discussed issues of strengthening material and technical basis at passing pints via state border of the Russian Federation and equipping the points with advanced technical facilities. It is expected that these measures will make it possible to consolidate positive tendencies for increasing volumes of air transportations via international airlines and introduce international quality standards.

On November,23 Sergey Korneev will held a session of Coordination council of international airport “Kazan” and meet with Director general of JSC “International airport “Kazan” Aleksei Starostin on issues of reconstruction of air passing point “Kazan”.
