Ildar Khalikov addressed participants and winners of International Olympiad in Informatics: “You astonished Kazan, judges of the contest and all organizers”

On August 18, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov took part in a solemn closing ceremony of XXVIII International Olympiad in Informatics (Piramida complex, Kazan).

The Olympiad was held in Russia for the first time. Kazan won the right to host the event in the competition with Japanese and Azerbaijan cities.

The Olympiad was organized by Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media, Russian Ministry of Education and Science, Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications, Tatarstan Ministry of Education and Science, and Kazan Federal University. 314 people from 81 countries took part in the event. Russian team was a silver medalist, Chinese team won gold.

Ildar Khalikov handed over gold medals to winners of the International Olympiad in Informatics.

“You astonished Kazan, judges of the contest and all organizers. You are so talented and unique. Many of you took part in our national holiday Sabantui. You are a close-knit, intelligent and energetic team!,” Khalikov said.

Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov handed over medals to silver medalists.
