Ildar Khalikov meets leadership of the largest Chinese travel company

On August 22, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and Director of a Chinese travel company «Xinjang China International Travel Service» (XCITS) Hai Zuniun discussed a number of issues to promote tourist flights "Urumqi - Kazan - Urumqi".

Khalikov noted that the People's Republic of China is one of the most promising partners in the development of the mutually beneficial cooperation in the sphere of tourism. For the first half of 2016some 2858 citizens of China have visited Tatarstan, 730 of them arrived for tourism purposes.

Due to the direct charter flight "Urumqi - Kazan - Urumqi," the number of Chinese tourists has increased significantly. From August 4 to 16 of the current year, 448 tourists have come to Kazan on this flight, operated by the Xinjang China International Travel Service.

It is assumed that the flight will be available until October 24, 2016. The Chinese partners plan to resume this flight next year.

Chairman of Tatarstan State Committee for Tourism Sergei Ivanov, Advisor to Chairman Tatarstan State Committee for Tourism Alexader Fedin, and other officials took part in the meeting.
