On September 1, in Tukaev municipal region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an official commissioning of a new power facility of the Power Generation Company.
The main aim of the construction of the new power substation (PS 220 kW Begishevo) is to increase the reliability of the power supply of the petrochemical complex in Nizhnekamsk power district. With the commissioning of the new facility the risk of accidents because of shutdowns in the power supply reduces significantly.
Welcoming the guests of the ceremony, Minnikhanov noted according to the Strategy 2030 petrochemical complex and engineering are the main points of the economic growth. Uninterrupted power supply is the key to sustainable development of our petrochemical cluster, Tatarstan President emphasized.
Thanking the regional leadership for assistance in the construction of the new substation, Director General of the Power Generation Company Ilshat Fardiev stressed that commissioning of the 220 kV Begishevo substation will allow solving the problem of power shortages in the region where main petrochemical enterprises of the republic are located.
Then, Minnikhanov and other honoured guests walked around the substation territory and got acquainted with the new power infrastructure in more details.
