The Republic of Tatarstan and Novosibirsk oblast sign Memorandum of intentions

Memorandum of intentions by results of visit of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov to Novosibirsk oblast was signed in Novosibirsk. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of Novosibirsk oblast Vasily Yurchenko put signatures in the document.

According to the document text, on December, 15-16, 2010 delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by the President Rustam Minnikhanov stayed in Novosibirsk oblast by invitation of the Governor Vasily Yurchenko. In the course of meeting they discussed issues of mutual interest in the sphere of economy, industry, science, education, innovative cooperation and culture.

The parties are satisfied with growth of trade turnover between Novosibirsk oblast and the Republic of Tatarstan, - from 171,3 mln. roubles in 1999 to 2,6 bln. roubles in 2009 within the limits of Agreement on commercial-economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation between Administration of Novosibirsk oblast and Government of the Republic of Tatarstan (concluded in 1999), and Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of culture between Management for culture of Novosibirsk oblast and Ministry of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan (concluded in 2003).

By results of held negotiations the parties stated necessity of further cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Novosibirsk oblast in accordance with legislation and on the basis of principles of trust, equality, partnership, respect and mutual benefits.

The text of Agreement on commercial-economic, scientific-technical and social-cultural cooperation is meant to be worked out and approved on intergovernmental level. The document will include issues of study and mutual exchange of experience in the sphere of state management, attraction of investments, support of small and medium entrepreneurship and other sectors of mutual interest.
