On September 15, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with a delegation of LUKOIL oil company led by its First Executive Vice-President Ravil Maganov.
Welcoming the guests, Minnikhanov noted that today LUKOIL is one of the largest oil companies in the world. We are actively cooperating and a lot of the company's branches appeared due to Tatarstan oil, he said.
Tatarstan President continued that LUKOIL and Tatneft oil companies have been cooperating in several areas, in particular, in the sphere of production of heavy and super-viscous oil.
Minnikhanov said that this summer at the TANECO Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex a delayed coking unit was launched. Implementation of this project will make it possible to completely stop producing black oil by August, as well as substantially increase the depth of oil processing and output of light oil products.
According to him, LUKOIL is implementing a number of major projects in the republic, many of which are not related to the main activities of the company. "Today, the results of the contest of social and cultural projects held by LUKOIL will be summed up in Kazan." Moreover, it should be noted that the company made a great contribution to the revival of historical holy places of Tatarstan, he stressed.
In his turn Maganov said that LUKOIL has been doing business in Tatarstan for 20 years. During this time the company has produced more than 1 million tonnes of oil and fuel sales have been increased. Thus, compared to 2015 the indicators have gone up by 20 per cent.
Maganova noted that the company plans to expand its presence in the region through the development of oil production and increase of the number of gas stations. He asked Minnikhanov to assist in meeting this challenge.
