Ildar Khalikov takes part in solemn opening of Pioneer Park in Yelabuga

On September 16, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in a solemn opening of the Pioneer Park in Yelabuga.

The reconstruction of the Pioneer Park started in 2015, the Year of Parks and Gardens. A total of 30 million roubles was spent to improve the park. Yemelyanov promised citizens to arrange the sale of ice cream in the park next summer.

Speaking at the event, Khalikov said that Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov made a decision to continue implementing socially important regional programmes in 2017.

In future, it is planned to expand the park territory, to build sports grounds for such extreme sports like rock climbing, free running, as well as to pave walkways to the historic part of the city.

After the opening ceremony Tatarstan Prime Minister and his party inspected new houses built under the programme aimed at relocating citizens from dilapidated housing and social mortgage programme. It is planned to commission two sixty-apartment houses in coming days.

Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the republic Farid Abdulganiev, Head of Yelabuga municipal region Gennady Yemelyanov, heads of enterprises and institutions of the city took part in the event.
