Rustam Minnikhanov: The сonfidence of Tatarstan citizens should be justified

On September 23, at a traditional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov commented on the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation held on September 18.

Minnikhanov said that 78.79 per cent of Tatarstan citizens gave their votes at the election. The United Party gained 82.27 per cent of votes, the Communist Party gained 4.07 per cent, Just Russia 2.26 per cent and the Liberal Democratic Party 2.25 per cent.

In single-member districts the winners are: Fatikh Sibagatullin – 70.74 per cent, Ildar Gilmutdinov – 74.75 per cent, Airat Khairullin – 86.19 per cent, Alfiya Kogogina – 76.05 per cent, Rinat Khairov – 79.19 per cent, Irshat Minkin - 63, 95 per cent.

"Taking the opportunity, I would like to say that this is our joint work - implementation of federal and regional target programmes, meetings with voters, and high confidence extended by people,” Minnikhanov said.

We must do our utmost to make the living conditions for Tatarstan citizens better, he said. “The confidence of our citizens should be justified,” he added.

Tatarstan President thanked leaders of companies that are focusing on the implementation of social projects in Tatarstan.

Among the priorities of the republic Minnikhanov noted solving problems of gardeners' societies, improving territories adjacent to houses and public spaces. He asked to pay particular attention for the development of education and industrial sites.
