Rustam Minnikhanov holds business meetings in Toronto

On September 27, during his visit to Toronto, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held business meetings at Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association (CERBA).

The first meeting was held with leadership of the Russian company ABBYY. ABBYY is world-famous today due to its solutions in the sphere of intellectual information processing and linguistics. It has 40 mln users in 200 countries all over the world. The company is implementing some projects in Tatarstan, and prospects of further cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

Director General of Global Performance Improvement (GPI) Aleksei Peshekhonov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the meeting and told about the educational project being developed with Tatneft Corporate University and Almetyevsk State Oil Institute.

At his meeting with leadership of Second Cup Coffee Company, Rustam Minnikhanov said that is ready to become a starting point to enter the Russian market, and discussed different ways of cooperation.

Minnikhanov also met leadership of Amelin Company that develops technologies and equipment for the energy sector. Amelin has implemented more than 200 projects in Russia, and its equipment is successfully used in chemical, oil, and food industries.  

Participants of the meeting discussed further supplies of Amelin steam generators to Tatarstan oil companies and localization of production at one of special economic zones in the republic.

Development of cooperation in aerospace, oil, gas, and innovative sectors were discussed at the meeting with Gowling WLG, the Canadian legal company.

Rustam Minnikhanov also had a meeting with Director of Eastern Europe & Eurasia at Global Affairs Canada Kevin Rex and Board Chairman of Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association in Toronto Martha Harrison.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Canadian partners for assistance in the organization of the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Montreal and Toronto.
