Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit to Turkmenistan

On October 10, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit to Turkmenistan, was met by Ambassador of Russia to Turkmenistan Aleksandr Blokhin and Chairman of Turkmenistan Committee for Sport Toyly Kamekov at the Ashkhabad International Airport.

On the first day of his visit Minnikhanov will attend a concert of masters of arts of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Centre in Ashkhabad. The concert will open the Days of Tatarstan in Turkmenistan.

Tomorrow, at their bilateral meeting Minnikhanov and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov will discuss issues related to cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan governments in trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

At the Chamber of Commerce and Trade Minnikhanov will take part in the opening of an exhibition of economic achievements of Turkmenistan devoted to the 25th anniversary of its independence.

Also, a delegation from Tatarstan led by its president will visit a new building of the Russian Embassy in Ashkhabad, where a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin will be held.

Moreover, at meetings with Turkmenistan businessmen during the Turkmenistan-Tatarstan business forum to be held at the Yyldyz hotel in Ashkhgab in the afternoon, issues of further cooperation will be discussed.
