On October 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the foundation “Center for strategic developments” Aleksei Kudrin, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov, rector of the Higher school of economics Yaroslav Kuzminov and other officials took part in a session on preliminary results of implementation of the Strategy of social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan till 2030.
Opening the session, Rustam Minnikhanov said that 130 events with participation of 3,5 thousand people including representatives of state authorities, educational and public organizations, analytical centers and enterprises have been carried out for two years of the Strategy development.
The Strategy was completed and was passed as a law in 2015.
Minister of economy of the republic Artem Zdunov informed that economic growth made 2,5 per cent due to industrial, agricultural and construction growth. The industrial output has exceeded 4 per cent.
The implementation of such a large-scale project provides the work in three main areas: formation and accumulation of human capital; creation of comfortable space for its development; creation of public institutes where human capital is economically in demand.
Artem Zdunov noted the importance of professional specialization of graduates. The work on creating engineering, petrochemical, and gas production centers is underway now. 20 resource centers for training highly skilled personnel in main economic sectors have been created. A number of health care organizations have been modernized, nine leading clinics have been certified in accordance with European standards.
Presenting the Strategy, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin told that four projects will be implemented in the context of the strategy in Kazan, - “Kazan-the city of health”, “Kazan-the pot of creative ideas”, and “Kazan - the multifaced center of agglomeration”.
