Members of RT Cabinet approve the program of social and economic development for 2011-2015

The program of social and economic development of Tatarstan Republic for 2011-2015 has been approved at the session of RT cabinet and forwarded to republican Parliament. In accordance with Federal Law from October,6,1999 №184-ФЗ and regulations of RT State Council the program should be accepted by the law of Tatarstan Republic.

Session on RT Cabinet was held in House of RT Government in format of video conference with participation of all municipal regions. RT President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the event. At the beginning of session head of RT Government informed attendants about results of implementing the Program of social and economic development of republic in 2005-2010.

By words of Ildar Khalikov, whereas 2010 has brought many difficulties, planned rates which characterize quality of living standards, have generally been fulfilled. In particular, duration of life has increased by 71 years as versus 69. Average cash income per capita have increased by 3,4 times and reached 18 000 roubles. Yearly 2 mln. m² of housing are commissioned in republic. Also in the period of realizing the Program of social and economic development of republic in 2005-2010 gross regional product has increased by 1,4 times.

RT Minister of economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov told about the project of Program of social and economic development of Tatarstan Republic for 2011-2015. He stressed that the final purpose of realization of 5-year program is improvement of life quality of population in RT on the basis of stable, dynamic development of Tatarstan economy and creation of favorable human environment. There are several important factors to achieve this goal: increase of competitive ability of Tatarstan economy, formation of dynamic system of state and municipal management, creation of innovative diversified economy, greening of economy, increase of middle class percentage.

Key goals and objectives of the Program were determined in accordance with President's message to RT State Council. RT Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of info and communications Nikolai Nikiforov emphasized in his speech that new program expands opportunities of IT sector development in republic.
