Rustam Minnikhanov invites Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf to visit Kazan

On October 19, during their meeting in Düsseldorf Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a working trip in the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, invited Lord Mayor of Düsseldorf Thomas Geisel to visit Kazan.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan companies, including the Nizhnekamskneftekhim Petrochemical Company, Kazanorgsintez (producer of ethylene polymers and copolymers), Kama Innovative Territorial Production Cluster “InnoKam” are taking part in the K-2016 International Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber, which is being held at the Messe Düsseldorf Exhibition Center.

Minnikhanov said that the fair is the biggest event which traditionally attracts leading representatives of petrochemical industry.

He also noted that Tatarstan being the largest manufacturer of polymers and rubber is interested in establishing relations with Polymer Refiners Association.

Besides, the President told Thomas Geisel about the meeting he had had with representative of business circles of North Rhein-Wesltphalia earlier today. He noted that German businessmen expressed their interest in establishing contacts and implementing joint projects with Tatarstan. “Today's meeting is a good opportunity to tell more about our region, its potential and prospects of economic development,” he went on to say.

In his turn, the Lord Mayor said that he chairs the Supervisory Board of the Messe Düsseldorf and invited specialist of Tatarstan to take part in the 9th Russia-Germany Raw Materials Conference to be held in Düsseldorf on November 23-25 this year.
