Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on working visit in China

On November 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in China (Shanghai) as a member of the Russian delegation headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

The main purpose of the visit is participation in the 18h China international furniture fair СIIF-2016. The Republic of Tatarstan is presented by KAMAZ PTC, Kazan helicopters plant, OAO “Ak Bars” Holding Company, Alabuga SEZ, and Innopolis SEZ.

Tatarstan President will take part in the opening ceremony of the forum on the development of innovations and new technologies, Russia-China business forum “Industrial partnership: new opportunities and projects”, and the session of the sub-commission on cooperation in the sphere of industry and the Commission for the preparation of meetings between heads of Chinese and Russian governments.

Rustam Minnikhanov will also meet Chinese businessmen in the afternoon.

On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin takes part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize award ceremony

On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
