Business-forum with participation of delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland held in Kazan

On November 1, a business-forum with participation of delegation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland was held at Korston Hotel and Entertainment Complex in Kazan.

Tatarstan Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ildar Mingaleev made a presentation of trade and economic potential of the republic. He, in particular, said that industrial production facilities form the basis of the regional economy. Tatarstan is among top ten Russian regions in terms of social and economic development. In the Russia's economy Tatarstan is ranked fifth on industrial production and investment attraction and second on agriculture.

Mingaleev briefed about leading oil and engineering enterprises of the republic, such as Tatneft Oil Company, KAMAZ Automaker, Ford Sollers plant, Kazan helicopters plant, Zelenodolsk shipyard and others.

First Deputy Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Insaf Galiev presented investment potential of the republic.

Representatives of some foreign companies shared there experience of doing business in Tatarstan.

Tatarstan and British businessmen also held meetings during the forum.
