Rustam Minnikhanov: Major tasks are set before transport sector of Tatarstan

The Republic of Tatarstan is realizing and will realize major projects in transport sector in future. This was announced by President of Republic Rustam Minnikhanov at a final session of RT Ministry of transport and road construction. Deputy Minister of transport of Russia Oleg Belozerov, Head of Federal road agency Anatoli Chabunin, First Vice-speaker of State Duma Oleg Morozov, Chairman of State Duma committee for construction and land relations Martin Shakkum took part in the session.
Head of Tatarstan Ministry of transport Lenar Safin reported on results of work of transport sector. He informed that realization of long-term target program “Development of transport complex of Tatarstan Republic for 2006-2010” finished in 2010. By and large, for the period of 5 years financing for program realization made 108,94 bln. roubles at the expense of all sources.
Total contribution of transport sector into RT regional product made 6,3 % in 2010. By results of 10 months transport enterprises of republic gained profit of 9,6 bln. roubles. 307 mln. passengers were carried by Tatarstan transport in 2010.
Lenar Safin informed about course of reconstruction of federal highway M7 between Kazan and Naberezhnie Chelny cities.
Total cost of reconstruction of left 130 km. is 26 bln. roubles. Lenar Safin addressed RF Minister of transport with request to provide financing in order to finish reconstruction by 2013. “On our part we are obliged to attract the best construction companies and implement works fundamentally”, - Lenar Safin assured.
2,3 bln. roubles are to be allocated for reconstruction of international airport “Kazan” in 2011.
Lenar Safin stressed that issue of municipal traffic of passengers is still very urgent.
Deputy Minister of transport of Russia Oleg Belozerov thanked Tatarstan leadership for invitation to take part in the session. In his opinion, results achieved in republic are rather impressive.
Oleg Belozerov paid attention to issue of security on transport. He addressed his Tatarstan colleagues with request to work out proposals on additional measures as regards legislative base and limitation of authorities.
Oleg Belozerov separately thanked Tatarstan colleagues for preparation of qualitative plan of developing Kazan transport infrastructure for Universiade-2013.
President Rustam Minnikhanov assured that major transport projects will be realized in republic in future. He holds that issue of safeguarding should be of primary importance in republic.
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic. The glorious traditions are continued by modern philanthropists and patrons of Tatarstan.
On 12 April in his address to residents of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated them with the Space Exploration Day and said: “April 12, 1961 has forever been inscribed into the world history as the day of triumph of the Soviet science and engineering thought. The flight of Yuriy Gagarin opened the way to the stars for the humankind and demonstrated to the whole world the might of our country.
On 4 April , speaking at a closing ceremony of the XX Russian Venture Forum held at the Kazan Expo Exhibition Center, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the Russian Venture Forum has confirmed its status of the point of attraction of technological development leaders.
The Forum created a unified scientific, technological and investment space where scientific ideas are transformed into competitive products, and startups gain access to capital and markets. Its business programme is organically integrated into the regional and federal agenda for achieving technological sovereignty and leadership of Russia, he said.
